Intercall is an internationally recognised Nurse Call brand, currently exporting to over 60 countries worldwide. Intercall has been exporting to the Egyptian market since 2004, supplying exclusively through local partners, KYR For Supplying and Installing Equipment, since 2008. Since then, sales have been impressive with over 550 nurse call systems and 28,000 call points supplied to date. Intercall Export Manager Adam Daniels undertakes regular visits to Cairo, and this June was invited to talk at a seminar hosted by KYR at the Dusit Thani Lakeview Cairo. Intercall were one of four companies presenting to an audience of over 150 consultants and healthcare professionals. The event was a great success with lots of new contacts made, and relationships forged.
Immediately following the success of the seminar in Cairo, Intercall reciprocated the legendary Egyptian hospitality with an invitation to visit their Horsham, West Sussex-based head office and factory. KYR brought five Egyptian consultants to the UK to showcase Intercall’s ISO 9001 certified factory facilities and processes, including sharing the origins of Intercall and its use of considered innovation to develop and manufacture product ranges.
It was during this visit that we caught up with Eng. Tamer Safwat, Owner and CEO of KYR for Supplying and Installing Equipment. Tamer started by telling us a little about KYR and the work they do, “We founded KYR for Supplying and Installing equipment in the early 2000s and have established ourselves as one of the leading companies for light current security systems (ELV) in Egypt. We supply and serve a full range of equipment for Banks, Hospitals, Hotels, Malls, Stores and Office buildings, working closely with consultants and clients to provide the best solution for the customer.
We initially discovered Intercall at IFSEC in Birmingham and were impressed by the quality and price of the 600/ 700 system products at the time. They were open to working closely with us to develop the market and have formed a formidable partnership since. While Intercall 600 is still a best seller, we’re really excited about the prospects of the new One series. We’ve also been impressed by the Touch series, its premium features and flexibility against worldwide competition have been essential”.
Of their relationship with Intercall, Tamer went on to say, “We have a partnership built on trust. Intercall has always been prepared to consider our local market expertise.
