Part of the Select Healthcare Group, Oak Farm is a purpose-built 38-bed care home offering comprehensive care to clients recovering from acquired brain injury and neurological disorders.
The home manager, Noemi, had been looking to replace the existing nurse call system for some time as their old, wired Legrand system was both ageing and becoming increasingly difficult to maintain. Looking for reliability and improved functionality at the right price, Noemi approached her existing electrical maintenance company. Familiar with the building’s infrastructure, the maintenance company confidently suggested the Intercall 600 series but upon learning of the newly launched Intercall One series and its enhanced functionality, it quickly became the perfect upgrade solution.
Impressed by the One’s clean modern look, simple data logging facility and Intercall’s strong brand recognition, Oak Farm were keen to proceed.
The upgrade was planned to allow minimal disruption and was scheduled to take place over just seven days. Intercall door readers were integrated with the existing electromagnetic locks, with a clear and easy to understand alert system in response to Oak Farm’s specific needs.
