2021, A Year Like No Other

2021 has been another extraordinary year for everyone in the health care sector.  
 
Here in the UK, the year began with a second lockdown, which many countries across Europe are sadly experiencing again. Needless to say, the ongoing challenges the pandemic have presented to the sector have been unprecedented. 
 
At Intercall, we’ve been proud to have played a very small part in the efforts to treat and contain the pandemic, with the swift supply and installation of our Nurse Call systems into Field Hospitals across the Middle East and wider world.  
 
While being faced with the same supply challenges as our manufacturing colleagues across the globe, we’re grateful for our established supply chains and to our distribution partners who, in working together, have helped to minimise disruption for our clients and their projects. 
 
In response to the communication challenges raised by the pandemic, in 2020 we installed an inhouse state-of-the-art training facility, which has proved so popular that it’s become part of our standard offering. From the facility we’re able to offer COVID-safe product training and demonstrations to colleagues and clients across the globe. 
 
2021 was a busy year for Intercall, as years of R&D came together in the launch of the new Intercall One series at the UK Care Show in October. During this period, the new products underwent rigorous testing, including the successful installation into trial sites at Brooklands Nursing Home in Ashdown Forest and Sutton Court Residential Home in Nottingham. Initial feedback has been amazing and we’re looking forward to heading to Dubai in January to exhibit both One and Touch at Intersec Expo. 
 
On a personal level, we’re extremely proud of our team members Dr Michael Walton, on the awarding of his Doctorate from The School of Computer Science and Electronic Engineering at the University of Essex, and of Adam Daniels for his ongoing achievements and study at the Chartered Institute of Marketing. No mean feat during this extraordinary time. 
 
Finally, 2021 also saw the launch of our new website and has seen the business go from strength to strength. And on that note, we’d to thank all our suppliers, partners, and customers for their support this past year – a year that has indeed been like no other.
